Diving Into Adventure: Pass the Zoloft 10/27/2008

Because this blog is more important than any of my other jobs for no other reason than I can say what I want, when I want, with any language I want, (Hola! Coma Esta! No... not that kind of language, sillies) I'm going to get back to posting 3 times/week. Yeah for you!

Sadly for me, I feel a bit these days like the crack head Halloween decor that a neighbor kid across the street thought would be cute for the kids. Um, at six feet, with bloodied arms and a skull smaller than OJ's nuts when his last verdict was read, Franken-What-Da-Hell went head first into the trash can.

I hope this Monday finds all of you heads up, ready for Halloween, with full plans to eat healthy but who most likely will end up like me with a cauldron tummy of Twix, Snickers and Sprees followed by a Yuban chaser.

What are ya'll doing for Halloween? And what are you all being, other than your fabulous selves? Hey, it's not about what you want to be, but WHO you want to be in life, right? (Except for Halloween. And then only fun costumes cut the mustard. Who needs the Nobel Prize? I want to see a couple going as Sarah Palin and the bloody moose. Take it! I'm so not in the mood to hot glue gun antlers to Rex's computer brain.)

I realized at last week's fall festival, that Sprite is still too young to go door to door and our neighborhood had NO trick or treaters last year, so this year, I will paint. My kitchen. Wish me luck!

A neighbor has an annual n'hood party, this year will be fun since its a weekend night. I'm going as Sarah Palin, hockey mom (got my hockey stick "vote for me or WHAP!). My friend is considering following close behind me, the pregger daughter.

You're killing me softly with Yuban! Ack!

Son is Spock.
Dtr is a vampire.
I am undecided. If all else fails me--a black cat.
Big is, as usual, a self-proclaimed "Stick in the Mud".

I posted pics earlier in the week of of polygamist sect costume, but I'm ready for my boys to go trick or treating so I can sneak pieces of candy from their bags.

Hubby and I are taking our two year old trick or treating at the mall. She gets to dress up, and then we get to eat all her candy once she passes out from the sugar high :)

Pooker is a chili pepper. Last year I went as a tired, cranky, hormonal pregnant woman. This is year I'm going as a tired, cranky, hormonal PMSing Mom.

Nobody comes to our house because of the dogs. They're sweet but if there's a leaf on our front lawn that shouldn't be there, the whole friggin neighborhood knows about it.

Glad you're back, I've missed your blogs!

My kids will be a skeleton princess (complete with bone headpeice/crown that was Mommy's idea thankyouverymuch) and fairy/ballerina/barbie princess. Again. I, however have an evolving costume. I begin the evening as "Sober Girl" and end it as "Tipsy Girl". The pictures should be great!

I was originally just going to go as a "Republican", but my school decided that (in an effort to avoid potentially violent costumes) all people on campus would have to be dressed as a "Literary character of their choice". So, without the bloody butcher knife, I went as Patrick Bateman from American Psycho. I figure if you have to explain what your costume is, you didn't do a good enough job. And, I had a lot of 'splain' to do on Friday.
Baldo was Wolverine. We went to a neighborhood block party held by Taylor and Marie. Alex was excited that Baldo was there as in years past he wouldn't go out T-o-Ting. Afterwards, the kids all passed out in the living room; while the adults all passed out candy and drank on the driveway. Some even went in the bouncy castle for unknown reasons. A-HEM!
A good time was had by all.
Oh, Baldomom went as a Hockey mom to her work, but didn't have a stick--since I got rid of mine a long time ago.

Happy Halloween! Here's hoping we don't wake up on Weds. to another scary 4 years...
Aloha,
JIm
PS. I, too, am glad yer back bloggin'
