Hard Headed Children 03/26/2009
After Natasha Richardson's death, I've been more conscientious than ever about helmet safety. I have talked endlessly to my children about proper positioning, straps, the difference between the front and the back and why slamming one's noggin against hard cement is not the greatest invention since the Flowbee. Mine decided that the foam padding in the helmet just wasn't comfortable, so he ripped it all out. Now his helmet wobbles wildly on his head and occasionally impairs his vision, but like phd said, something's better than nothing (I hope).
